Our new article—“Serendipias en colecciones de herbario: briófitos canarios recolectados por José Cuatrecasas en 1935 hallados en MACB”—has just been published in Boletín de la Sociedad Española de Briología (Vol. 59, 2025).

The paper documents the recovery and identification of bryophyte specimens collected in the Canary Islands by the renowned botanist José Cuatrecasas nearly 90 years ago, which remained unregistered until recently. This project was developed in collaboration with two of my students, Tanausú González Rodríguez and Adrián Lamas Ortiz de Pinedo, who coauthored the study and contributed substantially to the historical reconstruction and taxonomic work.
